Breakfast on the rooftops of Milan: panettone all over the year with the view of the rooftops of Milan.
Every 3rd of February, in Milan we celebrate San Biagio, protector of throats and of the panettone. San Biagio was an Armenian doctor wh lived in the III century A.D. that performed a miracle: when a desperate mother brought him her dying child to a bone stuck in the throat, the Saint gave him a large crumb of bread that, down in his throat, he removed the bone and saved the young.
In Milan, from many centuries, we celebrate the throat’s protector eating a little piece of panettone, best if kept from Christmas.
