26th May 2016 sees the start of the UEFA Champions Festival in Milan, ahead of the Champions League final at San Siro Stadium on 28th May. The atmosphere in the city promises to be unforgettable as the excitement builds. For anyone visiting Milan at this time, this will be a trip that you will never forget. The festival will take place from Piazza Duomo to Sforza Castle of Milan. It starts at 10am on Thursday 26th May with the opening ceremony. The festival includes activities for both adults and children. These include football-themed competitions, meetings with past winners, and the chance to be photographed with the official Champions League Cup.
On 27th May, events include the Ultimate Champions Match at 6pm and a public concert in Piazza Duomo of Milan following the match. The festival runs until 5pm on Sunday 29th May.
The main event of the festival is, of course, the UEFA Champions League final. Top clubs from all over Europe have been battling it out for a place, but ultimately, only two teams could make it to the final. These are Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid. If you are lucky enough to have tickets to see the match, gates will open at 5.45pm. The opening ceremony will include a concert from Alicia Keys at 7pm, with the match kicking off at 8.45pm.
A few lucky people may be able to win tickets during the festival, but if you do not have tickets, do not despair. The awards ceremony will take place in Piazza Duomo of Milan, come on the Highline Galleria to view the award cermony from the gallery terraces.
